At IFA 2012, Schenker Notebooks showcases Notebooks with Glasses-free 3D-Solutions based on 3D International’s Technology. This enables Games, 3D-DVDs and Stereo Photos to be experienced in 3D dimensions without the need of glasses. For 17.3 inch Notebooks, delivery is scheduled still within 2012. Pilot Installation in Korean Cinema Theatre Chain
An initial pilot using the CLD 3D Display was recently installed in theatres of the Lotte Cinema in Korea. “There is a considerable demand for the CLD series of screens which produces bright, dazzling Glasses Free 3D images” says Redrover‘s Vice President Jinho Kim, distributor for 3D International in Korea. “This is the “first of its kind” digital signage network in Korea that leverages the brilliance created by 3D International’s CLD with the ability to deliver the latest glasses free 3D trailers. “Redrover wanted to enrich their customer experience beyond the typical plain Digital Signage content with relevant 3D trailers and advertisements”, comments Kim. “Redrover desired to use 3D glasses free content to attract customers” comments Tan Sri Abdul Rashid b Abdul Manaf, Executive Chairman of 3D International. “More importantly, this installation has allowed us to achieve all of our ROI targets and objectives for such an installation, concluding that there is certainly a market for our technology in the Cinema market space, with very compelling ROI for our customer(s). “

The 46 inch CLD display joins the successful launch of its 21.5 inch Detachable CLD, VisuZ geared at the Consumers. “Over the next months we are targeting to release an aggressive line up of larger displays and glasses-free 3D Video Walls as well as complementary sizes to our VisuZ 21.5” product range. This will ensure that our partners and resellers have the ability to provide versatile solutions to our end customers” adds Dr. Markus Klippstein, Head of Business Development for 3D International.

CHROMATIC LIGHT DEFLECTOR™ is a patent pending Optical element that dramatically improves the brightness, clarity, and improved transitioned viewing angle, of displaying 3D images – glass free. Using a patent pending way of shaping light across glass, 3D images are created through an optical element that the company has developed. CHROMATIC LIGHT DEFLECTOR enables consistent high quality images over an extended time, as it is able to absorb heat without changing its optical properties – unlike some competing plastic lenses.

Under the Solution Partner Program, 3DI offers 3D-displays incl. driver software that allows for glasses-free 3D representation of Solidedge Graphics Data by means of a driver software that supports Solid Edge Viewer ST4. The software works interactively in real time. Multiple Users can enjoy 3D vision at the same time, without the need of eye tracking or 3D glasses. The 3D-display product is available in various sizes ranging from 21.5” to 46” and –on demand- bigger or in different sizes.
